Chuckanut Health Foundation Announces Nursing Scholarship Opportunities: Deadline May 20th
Chuckanut Health Foundation is now accepting applications for the Lois Jean Roberts Nursing Scholarship which is available to students who are Whatcom County residents or who have graduated from a Whatcom County high school and have been accepted into a qualified nursing program at Whatcom Community College; Bellingham Technical College, Western Washington University or Skagit Valley College. These scholarships honor the life of Lois Jean Roberts, a Registered Nurse, who died in 1992. The scholarship grant is $1,500 per year and may be renewed up to three additional years, based upon continued success in a course of study leading to licensure as an RN, BSN or advanced education degree. The deadline for submission of application materials for the 2019-20 academic year is May 20th.
Since 1993, over 175 students have received in excess of $419,000.00 in health professional scholarship awards.

Chuckanut Health Foundation (CHF) awarded nine scholarships and three grants totaling $19,500 to 13 local nursing students this month.
