• Community-Informed Solutions

  • A healthy start for every child

  • Investing in early childhood

  • Transforming systems

  • Care for a lifetime

Strengthening individual and community health in Whatcom County.

Chuckanut Health Foundation is guided by our vision of a community where every child gets a healthy start and every person receives the care they need throughout their lifetime.

For over 40 years, we have focused on building bold and innovative solutions to build a better future for all.

Stretching the envelope of philanthropy through…

  • Community-informed solutions

We elevate the voices and leadership of those directly affected by issues to inform and co-create the solutions. We build in-roads for community input to impact systems and policy.

  • Rapid responses to immediate needs

We identify the gaps and who’s falling through them. Then we rally our community to create a safety net where there wasn’t one.

  • Advocating for longterm solutions

We build cross-sector partnerships to collaborate on longterm solutions that shift the conditions and prevent the gaps from happening in the first place.

Our goal is to create a healthy community; one in which everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We do this work with optimism and positivity, believing we can make a difference; in relationship and through collaboration; and with a commitment to responsibility in sustaining partnerships and following through.
